OT-I’m ok with Panama’s OT...so here is mine...

Guess which state has the highest poverty rate in the country? Not Mississippi, New Mexico, or West Virginia, but California, where nearly one out of five residents is poor. That’s according to the Census Bureau’s Supplemental Poverty Measure, which factors in the cost of housing, food, utilities and clothing, and which includes noncash government assistance as a form of income.

Given robust job growth and the prosperity generated by several industries, it’s worth asking why California has fallen behind, especially when the state’s per-capita GDP increased approximately twice as much as the U.S. average over the five years ending in 2016 (12.5%, compared with 6.27%).

LA Times Op-Ed...
Why is liberal California the poverty capital of America?

Poly Bowl A Big Plus

for SC Fans. Okay, it's an All Star Game, but I can't remember when SC had such an invested interest in an All Star Game.

For SC fans, the game will showcase commits, targets and persons of interest committed to other Pac-12 teams. Look at these names:

Addison
Gaoteote
OG
Hufanga
Letuligaseoa
McKee
'Dorian Thompson Robinson
Sewell
Stepp
Solomon Tuliauypupu
Devon Willimas
ITS

While it is an All Star game and all that implies, there is plenty to look at even for a casual fan. SC's interests are more centered on LB and DB, but they could include a QB of the future, and then, who knows? An under the radar guy could burst forth, like Washington in the AAA game.

The game is on Espin 3, which most cable carries, I don't know about other services, but it's 915pm starting time still makes it work staying up for.

Tuli Letuligasenoa...

Told me he loved his official visit to USC this past weekend. He also said that he didn't sign early because he forgot that it was the early signing day due to finals.

He says he plans to sign with USC, but he plans to take an official visit to Utah before signing day. When I asked for a percentage on whether or not he'll sign with USC, he wouldn't give one.

Full update coming later today.

OT - Fantasy Baseball, Anyone?

Any hardcore fantasy baseball players looking to join a long-running H2H 10 team league? It's made up of mostly CA players, so we're mostly all in the same time zone.

You would be taking over some vacated rosters and responsible for building it into a winner. We're looking for dedicated players that won't become disinterested halfway through the season. Someone who will respond to trade requests/texts.

Let me know if you guys have any questions!

The 2018 D-Line??

A bit iffy. Rest of D should be solid though. D should be good enough to win P-12. I think it is possible to win the Pac-12 with a conference record of 7-2 going into championship game. We will probably be somewhere between 8 and 9 wins in total for regular season.

note: btw, when I refer to D-Line I always assume/include predators
