Well we got the final game that few outside of the southeast wanted. Conference mates Georgia and Alabama. But its not like they have been consistent competitors. they have faced each other once (2015) in the last 10 years or so. They are in the same conference. right? If they had played this game would have been non-existent.

Remember in the old days when 2 teams were selected finalist through a popularity contest from the same conference and division, having played each other already that season ….Alabama vs. LSU. An all time clinker..21-0 Alabama…this was labeled as the "Revenge" game for the Tide, having lost to LSU 4 games before. Now we got last night the "Revenge" game of Alabama vs. Clemson for losing to them last year. Who outside of Tuscaloosa even cares about that. And the result…yep…clinker no.2, 24-6 and it wasn’t that close. Whereas Oklahoma and UGA each had 520 yard plus games, Alabama and Clemson combined had less than 450 yards. Snore…..

Were these the 4 best teams per the selection committee. Certainly Clemson wasn’t…without Deshawn Watson they could hardly mount a score . Clemson was not a #1, ask Syracuse. Alabama was not a conference champion and played the weakest of all schedules (isn't this a criteria any more) so by my standard not even eligible for the final 4. BTW the SEC outside of Georgia and Alabama was 2-5 . But Saban is great….right? Did you know that in the last 10 years he lost 4 bowl games to end his season?

Oklahoma was flawed but could score. Georgia looked good but didn’t play defense and were beaten by now 4 loss Auburn, Alabama was beaten by that same Auburn team , and themselves subdued by UCF (say who?). Now we get Alabama and Georgia. I'm tuning out next week and hope those that hate regional final games do the same.
