Max Browne's time on the USC football team has come to an end.
The redshirt junior quarterback informed TrojanSports that he will not participate in the Trojans' bowl preparation and bowl game so that he can focus on figuring out where he will transfer to. Browne will be taking visits in the ensuing weeks but said he did not wish to divulge which schools he's looking at.
As a graduate transfer with an unconditional release, he will be able to play for any FBS program in the country next year, including those in the Pac-12. (For those wondering, Browne is leaving now because he might enroll at a school that begins its next semester in January and wants to be eligible to participate in spring practice.)
Browne offered this goodbye post this afternoon on his Instagram account:
With Matt Fink redshirting, expect USC to move Jalen Greene to quarterback to back up Sam Darnold for the final game of the season.
