Darion Green-Warren, the 4-star cornerback from Narbonne HS, revealed to TrojanSports.com today that he was silently committed to USC since the summer.

Until he called coach Clay Helton during the early signing period and told him he'd be going to Michigan instead.

"I got a chance to play early, and Michigan, they put a lot of DBs in the league," Green-Warren said. "Their defense is always one of the top defenses in the country, and it was just hard to pass that up. It was a great opportunity for me and my family and [I feel I] made the best decision."

Green-Warren was weighing Michigan vs. USC down to the end. He had told us the weekend before the early signing period that he was truly torn. On the start of that signing period, he called Helton and told him he had made his decision for the Wolverines.

"He had nothing but love for me. I wish I could have went there, but I can only pick one school. I wish the best for USC, and I'll always have love for Coach Helton," he said.
