For the first time in several years, California lists only one Poly player in the top 75. Bosco leads the state with 4 players, Mater Dei with three and Servite with two. The rest of our "pipeline" schools (Oaks Ch, O Lutheran, Servite, Serra, SM, DLS etc.) seem underrepresented as well, compared to years past. It is encouraging to see the increased number of schools represented, some of which I have never seen before on the list. I actually don't like it when the private schools cherry pick athletes from their surrounding public schools by offering "scholarships" to the better athletes, often after their sophomore year. Our coaching staff is going to have to put in some serious extra mileage this year if we are going to win the recruiting battle for California. Not making a point, just find it interesting.
