News updates from today's practice...
USC practiced in the morning for about 90 minutes. Per usual, it was fairly light and included a lot of special teams.
The Trojans spent some extra time on their red zone package. It was one area Helton felt needed improvement from the UCLA game. USC settled for a season-high three field goals.
Helton said DT Josh Fatu (ankle) and CB Jonathan Lockett (hip) will be available for Notre Dame.
OT Chuma Edoga did not practice but instead worked on the side. He was seen pushing a tire and doing pushups. Helton said he was out because of "bumps and bruises."
WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (hip, arm) and LB Porter Gustin (ankle) were close to full-go.
DT Stevie Tu'ikolovatu (ankle) remained limited, which was planned.
The football team has teamed up with the USC School of Social Work for a sneaker drive this weekend. They are hoping to collect 5,000 pairs of shoes. More details here.
