I just spoke to someone I trust about Rivals100 LB Levi Jones.
As you know, we had Jones slotted to be a member of USC's 2017 recruiting class until today. That's when we discovered that people we trust when it comes to USC recruiting believe Jones will be committing to Florida State on signing day. That led to Drew Krinsky and Scott Schrader flipping their picks from USC to Florida State with only 12 hours or so between now and Jones' commitment.
But this person I talk to about USC recruiting and trust still isn't ready to give up on the idea that Levi Jones is going to USC. Apparently Jones was believed to be solidly committed to USC and very much in this class until these very recent developments.
But I still think there's a chance Jones pick USC and it's because of what I was told:
"Still think he's coming (to USC) and just messing with us."
That could very much be the case. I've seen it happen before.
But I think the safe pick here is Florida State because Jones has obviously communicated with those around USC that he'll be choosing Florida State.
