Something I meant to pass along Tuesday: Interim strength coach Keith Belton, who has been running USC's offseason program in the absence of Ivan Lewis, is being hired by Les Miles at Kansas. I'd reported two weeks ago that Belton was no longer in contention for USC's vacancy.
The Trojans now have lost four members from their strength staff. If you remember, negotiations with Cal’s Torre Becton hit a stalemate, in part because USC wasn’t open to Becton bringing in his own staff. Now the new hire will have to be made with adjoining assistants.
