Tre'Shaun Harrison is a four-star athlete from Seattle, Wash. Garfield HS who was offered a scholarship by USC earlier this year before committing to Oregon.

Harrison pledged to the Ducks in June but before then, the 6-foot-1 and 185-pounder had USC listed as one of his seven favorite schools. He also visited USC's campus before announcing his intentions to enroll at Oregon.

That gave USC fans a glimmer of hope as news broke earlier this month that Harrison had backed off his commitment.

Harrison has been very hard to get on the phone so I spoke to Coach Reggie Jones this morning. He's the coach of Heir Football, which is Tre'Shaun Harrison's 7-on-7 team.

"Tre is wide open with recruiting since the whole Oregon situation happening the way it did," Jones told TrojanSports.com. "When I took him to USC back in the spring he loved it. The ball is in USC’s hands to set up a trip and make a move to get him."

Harrison visited Oregon this past weekend. Aside from the Ducks, Willie Taggart's new school, Florida State also seems to be in play for a future commitment. The Seminoles offered Harrison a scholarship shortly after he backed off his commitment.

Jones also says that Harrison is still considering the five remaining schools in his previous top 7 (Cal, Michigan, UCLA, Utah and Washington.)

USC has not had an in-home visit with Harrison. A recruiting dead period started today and runs through January 11.

Harrison is not expected to sign early.
