In other news, the temperature on my dashboard read 127 degrees -- I've never seen higher than 118 and that was in the middle of the desert -- and my car wouldn't start after lunch. I'm in Vegas another day, working and writing all day in the hotel and hoping after dark my car will start. (I've had this issue fixed twice -- there is something wrong with the brake sensor such that the car doesn't acknowledge the brake is depressed and thus won't start the ignition when I hit the push start. Battery works, lights come on, I just keep pushing -- I tried 1,500 times today -- and it wouldn't catch. Last time it failed was in Phoenix last summer when it was 116. I'm going to try to leave in the middle of the night. Wish me luck!
