So, to revisit this for those that remember me bringing it up before, I totally dropped the ball on my plan to roll out the early enrollee stories before spring. I got caught up in the March Madness run and also went to that 7v7 tournament in Arizona and just ran out of time. And then was just so busy during spring practice to devote time to the features. But we’re still doing the series and I’m adding the remaining guys who haven’t moved in yet.
That’s where I was tonight — spent a good amount of time with Kyron Ware-Hudson and his dad. I have two big ones set up as well and am still working on the others. But I’m also starting to work on writing the Jaxson Dart feature as the first one to kick off the series. I had spent three hours with he and his family back in December and am slowly transcribing all that tape with an eye toward writing the story for this weekend OR early next week. I may be flying to Texas for Buchanan/Manjack end of this week if I can get them on board, so that will dictate when I have time to write Dart.
With spring practice going late and me having the Alaska trip booked, I’m in more of a scramble that normal trying to track these down before the guys move to campus. But I think we’ll end up with 10-15 really good stories about the freshmen.
