This is Marshall Levenson's update on McCutcheon. I'm still going through all my interviews and will have a deeper one on USC for you tomorrow. But he told me the same thing, USC and FSU pushing the hardest.

Marshall Levenson has a bunch of USC-related notes in this roundup, but the big one is Jared Curtis, the No. 2-ranked QB in 2026.

Rivals analysts doubling down that USC is team to beat for Carde Smith. Some othe relevant names covered as well:

Commits to Oregon. Was one of the top DB targets. Something has to change with this staff.

USC is pushing to get Malik Autry, the top-200 four-star DT from Alabama who is still committed to Auburn, back on campus in late July after the dead period. But so too are a lot of programs. I'd say if he comes back out to LA that day, that will tell us if the Trojans have a legit shot at flipping him.

Just decommitted. This was expected.

I'm in Jacksonville, Florida, for our Rivals Five-Star showcase tomorrow. Media day is today and I'm knocking out interviews left and right. When I get a lull in the action I'll start posting stories.

Stopped by USC’s summer workout today, and we were able to speak with Eric Musselman and Michigan transfer Terrance Williams afterward. There were a number of NBA players in attendance at Wednesday’s practice including Kevin Durant and Chet Holmgren.

Muss spoke about the impact of having those players around the team and much more.

Tounde Yessoufu is emerging as one of the clear cut top recruits in the country right now, and he is fresh off a dominant showing at the Section 7 event in Arizona over the weekend. USC watched the Santa Maria-St. Joseph star a bunch at the event, and now he's beginning his official visit with the Trojans today. His parents are now in the US for the first time coming over from Benin last week, and they will be accompanying him on the visit to USC. They did the same on his official visit to Arizona last week.

His only other OV prior to the trip to Tucson last week with the Wildcats was to Washington where he had built a bond with new USC assistant coach Quincy Pondexter. Eric Musselman had Arkansas in the mix previously as well, so there are a number of connections already tied in with the Trojans.

"Musselman, I've known him since he wast at Arkansas. He offered me over there. Great energy, great guy. He always wants the best of me. Every time when we talk, he always talks about the fact that he helped developing a lot of NBA prospects and players. So that's one of the things that I really like about him. His energy can definitely affect the whole group and help you win a lot of games.

USC is holding a summer workout today and the Trojans have a top recruit on campus taking in the practice.

Four-star guard Brayden Burries (Eastvale-Roosevelt) is taking in the practice today with his dad. Assistant Will Conroy is leading the recruitment for the No. 18-ranked prospect in the 2025 class.

There was some thought that Burries could reclassify previously but that will not be the case so his recruitment is plenty open at this stage.

Arizona has been the early favorite but UCLA and many others have made him a priority as well.
