I HATE the "our loss was better" argument....

HATED it ever since they used it to SCREW USC out of the 1978 National Championship....

When USC finished 2nd to Alabama (even tho they beat them on the field!)
Why?
Becuz Alabama had a "better loss"
LOL.

Don't tell me who has the better loss.
Show me who has better WINS.

This year, Ohio St had 3 wins better than Alabama's best win (17 LSU who lost to Troy!)

The "eye test" is a joke.
If that is your criteria -- why bother playing the games?

Why not try like hell to NOT play tough games vs. tough competition?
(Which Alabama does every yr btw -- fewer conf games, fewer road games, no OOC road games)
Why not schedule Mercer?
Why play the CCG? Stay home where you can't lose!

Four-star RB reopens his recruitment

That's four-star RB Markese Stepp. Stepp's father played football with Deland McCullough at Miami of Ohio and Stepp has told us previously that McCullough is a friend of the family. Stepp holds a scholarship offer from USC and the Trojans have been recruiting him. I'm reaching out to him now.

The Last of The Suffering Fans

We think we know what it is to suffer through a bad season, but how about 57 bad seasons in a row? That’s been the fate of New Mexico State fans until today when they won their 6th game 22-17 against South Alabama to even their record and become bowl eligible for the first time since 1960. Congratulations for winning and persevering for 57 years! It’s amazing they even have a program. A real testimony to the fans! As an aside could you imagine the discussions on that board after 57 years of losing......yikes!

Wisconsin's in Trouble

One spot for Bama, tOSU, or SC. Time for Clay to get on SportsCenter and make a pitch:

-- Conf. Champ
-- Best SOS of the three
-- No bye
-- Undefeated in Nov. and Dec.
-- Undefeated at home
-- Losses occurred on the road to Top 25 teams
-- Losses caused by significant injuries at significant positions
-- Team is healthy now
-- WR corps has matured and established chemistry with Sam
-- Sam playing terrific down the stretch
-- Bama played one less game and had no risk of losing or suffering injuries this weekend since they were sitting at home
-- West Coast includes many of the largest TV markets in the country -- LA, SF, SD, Phoenix, Seattle, Portland, Denver
-- Eyeball test and SOS go hand-in-hand
