The question I keep coming back to during this flurry of moves is why wait until Tuesday? Why send out these assistant coaches on important in-home visits with key recruits and then fire them a day later?
Ronnie Bradford just met with 5-star cornerback Chris Steele yesterday and the family was given no indication he was going to be gone from the staff a day later. The family just found out, I'm told.
He added that they asked Bradford point blank about his status and that he said he didn't know.
From what 4-star defensive end Stephon Wright told me last night, Kenechi Udeze was the sole coach who met with him on his in-home visit. What's the point of that message if he's gone less than 24 hours later?
Tee Martin and Bryan Ellis were both at 4-star WR Kyle Ford's house on Sunday. Martin was part of the group that saw 5-star WR Bru McCoy as well.
Udeze and Bradford visited 3-star DE Drake Jackson, etc.
Everyone expected and felt a staff shakeup was needed, but this seems to have been oddly managed and executed.
