TrojanSports has learned sophomore linebacker Levi Jones was arrested over the summer for public intoxication, according to court records. The incident occurred in the early morning of July 8 in Pasadena and required a bail of $250.00. He was released that same afternoon.
USC declined comment on the matter.
Sources informed me Monday evening Jones is no longer on the team after being disciplined for a team violation last week during the Oregon State trip. Clay Helton confirmed Tuesday that Jones is no longer a member of the program, adding that he was suspended for last Saturday's game against Cal. Sources added that Jones has been repeatedly disciplined since arriving at USC last summer.
