USC Basketball and Football Players Likely to Become Employees?

Sounds like this case that's been filed against USC by the NLRB to make basketball and football athletes employees of the school is not going well for USC. If USC falls so to will everyone else in time and over future court cases. I don't understand all the implications, but I wonder if we'll actually have a strategic advantage recruiting-wise if we're the only ones subject to this for a while. In theory USC (and maybe even the NCAA) would have to pay these kids and give them benefits in addition to NIL opportunities they make on the side. Strange world.
